Water Protectors Project
Our troop purchased art supplies to make posters, and we also bought this website to help raise awareness on how to protect water resources.
HOW to HELP!
We learned that litter from anywhere can end up in the water drains, and then end up in our rivers and oceans. In fact, the biggest trash dump in the world is in the Pacific Ocean (see videos and our posters below). Here's how you can "Be part of the solution, not the pollution!"
- Don't litter, ever. Please throw things away in the right places.
- Don't use plastic bottles. Try to use a refillable water bottle as much as possible.
- Don't use plastic bags. Try to use re-usable bags for shopping.
- Spread the word. Share this page to Facebook to raise awareness!
